Lawrence Garon, 87, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, in Mission Viejo, Calif.

Born in Duluth, he was co-owner of Garon Knitting Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Mission Viejo; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Phyllis Garon of Minneapolis, and Sheldon Garon and Sherrill Cohen of Princeton, N.J.; his grandchildren Eddie, Sara, Claire and Thea; a brother, Sherman of Minneapolis; a sister, Harriet Ruben of Duluth; and many nieces and nephews.

Services: were held Sept. 14 in California. Memorials to donor's favorite charity.

Garon, Helen Age 91, died October 10, 2007. Preceded in death by husband, Lawrence. Survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Philip & Phyllis Garon of Mpls., and Sheldon Garon & Sherrill Cohen of Princeton, NJ; her grandchildren, Eddie & Bonnie Garon, Sara & David Berl, Claire Garon and Thea Garon; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leah Seft. She was born in Eau Claire, WI and received her masters degree from Northwestern University. She taught for many years at UMD in Duluth, MN. Funeral service THURSDAY (TODAY), 5:00 PM at SHOLOM HOME WEST, 3620 Phillips Pkwy, St. Louis Park. Memorials to Sholom Home West, or donor's favorite charity. SHIVA: Monday 7 PM at Roitenberg Assisted Living, 3610 Phillips Parkway, St. Louis Park, and Tuesday 7 PM at 2748 Breckenridge Road, Minnetonka.
